Love poems for my Beloved

(prose too)

Sunday, October 22, 2017

Oh, dear one let me rest my fingers in your hair,
my breath to lift and play amongst your fragrant locks,
I curl against your cooling warmth, your fire divine,
receive your strong caresses, made from only love.

Only love.

If I fall

A battle! I shall not slip

If I slip, I shall not fall

If I fall, I shall not break

If I break, I shall not stand again

I find Thee at the bottom of every defeat

I find Thee at the heights of my angel heart soaring

Where we are one

Forever one

With the light

Your eyes
I want to jump into your eyes
Travel with the light to where it lives in You

I am the bride

I am the bride

I am falling through satin and silk to the marriage bed

I reach out for you, and you come to me as passion

I burn for you with this passion, and you caress me with fire

My Lord... My Love...

Om nama shivaya

You have moved in

Om nama shivaya

My heart is your home

Be mine

I will

Be mine

I see through it

My beloved, You speak to me through everything. Everything. There is nothing that is not Your caress, Your stillness... Your breath and Your being. I worship You, I worship You.

You are this delicate puddle that smells of damp rocks.

Give me a push...

You are this surging ocean of invisible karmas that pulls and pushes, falls on me, (again...), then trickles away under my guru's feet.

I see, and I hear... (Is she humming?)

You are her grace, gathering me up, knocking the dust off, weaving my karmas over and over into this sheerest veil of sighs.

Oh! I see through it, past it, see all of this consciousness... and know at last that I am all and none of it.

I close my eyes. I want it all as You.

The garden of grace

It is a falsehood that I ever do.

Doing means I must add something to perfection!

My being is rooted here, and tended to only by guru's grace in the garden of grace.

I am so peaceful.

...As You

My beloved, You speak to me through everything. Everything. There is nothing that is not Your caress, Your stillness... Your breath and Your being. I worship You, I worship You.

You are this delicate puddle that smells of damp rocks.

Give me a push...

You are this surging ocean of invisible karmas that pulls and pushes, falls on me, (again...), then trickles away under my guru's feet.

I see, and I hear... (Is she humming?)

I know you

God, I love you as everything, your beauty, your strength,
your fire and your frailty, your word and your gaze,
I know you. I know you.

Bliss bliss bliss... thought..... Bliss bliss bliss.....

Bliss... bliss................ thought...

Bliss bliss bliss... thought..... Bliss bliss bliss...

Dear God, please never stop pulling me into You with your bliss.

Splash

I see my ego at last, from outside of it. If it seemed important, my ego dreamed it up. If I made damn sure to remember it, my ego was on the scene when I decided.

I am not that.

I am the sweet scent of my lover's embrace, the flutter in my beloved's hair, his lush lashes dance as he raises His eyes to mine, my true Self forever in the pools of His eyes.

A silent splash.

Subtle

I know You as light, as this inseparable world of light and sound. The silent divine rises upward through my spine to divine union... and I am subtle, my state is subtle soft and tastes of salt and blood, the fragrance of your breath, the warmth of your whispered kisses, framing my body as a living portrait of love.

Rabindranath Tagore

Image of Rabindranath Tagore
Rabindranath Tagore
Light, my light, the world-filling light, the eye-kissing light, heart-sweetening light! Ah, the light dances, my darling, at the centre of my life; the light strikes, my darling, the chords of my love; the sky opens, the wind runs wild, laughter passes over the earth. The butterflies spread their sails on the sea of light. Lilies and jasmines surge up on the crest of the waves of light. The light is shattered into gold on every cloud, my darling, and it scatters gems in profusion. Mirth spreads from leaf to leaf, my darling, and gladness without measure. The heaven's river has drowned its banks and the flood of joy is abroad.

Every day

Morning aarti Veranasi India
You are so close, my Beloved
Oh God, I am in misery. Misery...

Why must I burn like this, for You, every day...?

You are all I care about, think about, search for with these eyes, this body. You are everything, and all of this... all of me, and yet...? We are somehow still apart.

I fall into You, then fall out!

Where is the secret? I am so sure I have found it when I fold myself over You like chocolate on a s'more. I feel myself melting...

What, again? I have taken the shape of this cup of ego. I think I'm a half-empty cup. Absurd.

What is the secret? I am so sure I know it every time we are ONE. Then I wake up alone and have to call out to You.

There You are on my TV! Stop toying with me.

Open (and open) and show me the door I can walk through and stop looking for You. It's only polite.

Morning aarti Varanasi India
Everyone knows You are right here...

Only my love

Sahara desert
Buried, then uncovered
These shifting sands will bring me up

The winds have moved this desert here
The winds cannot move me,
but they will take all of this away

Love
Only my body holds me here

Love
Only my love for You remains
